Last night was so magical. It was like going back to my roots in a way. But this time, I was different. One of my BrainTrust vault mates Collette Revere was pitching her company Open360 at Founders Live at the Hard Rock Cafe Nashville. In 2021, I was approached by Taylor Duncan to be a participant in the first Founders Live in Nashville. I agreed this would be a great step to let others outside my industry know what I was up to. I prepared my 99 second pitch with a million revisions, curated my slides and did the thing on a beautiful night in June 2021. Low and behold, with not one person who knew me in the room(meaning outdoor space, it was still COVID), I won! They have a voting system that the people watching get to vote. That day was so intrigal to my confidence and growth. I made it to the wild finals but lost. But that was ok, because it made me step up each time and get better. Last night, I was welcomed back with open arms and a lot of shoutouts as the first Founders Live Nashville winner. But I was there to support a friend, a fellow female entrepreneur, mom, wife and an entire ecosystem of people doing their things. Great job Collette and the others who pitched. Thanks to Nick Hughes for creating such an incredible ecosystem.

Our goal is to strengthen the local entrepreneurial ecosystem and give local entrepreneurs the opportunity to be seen, discovered, and heard. We're cooking up something exciting! Huge thanks to Johanna Ravomanana for organizing this meeting. 🌍 Rome wasn't built in a day. Neither are startup ecosystems. What matters is simply starting. As Alexandre Lazarow said, "Ecosystem builders must take a long-term view. An ecosystem's development takes longer than electoral cycles or the tenure of most corporate or foundation CEOs.
