Some weeks in the startup world feel slow and full of resistance. This week was not one of them. Not only did we secure a key partnership for our ecosystem (more on that soon!), but we also won the Founders Live pitch competition! What makes this moment even better? The other founders were great and I was impressed by their pitches, their ideas, and their execution. Kudos Steve Brant, Nadah Feteih and Sydney Chasin! ✨ My first networking event in Helsinki – and what an experience it was! ✨ For this year, I have a dream – to bring back into my life meaningful connections, bright minds, and inspiring ideas – but offline. Just before Valentine’s Day, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and attended Founders Live Helsinki at #Maria01. I’m neither a founder nor an investor, but I wanted to immerse myself in the energy of the startup ecosystem – and I couldn’t have chosen a better event! The atmosphere was truly inspiring – filled with curious, ambitious people – from investors to startup founders at different stages of their journeys. Some had clear visions, while others were still shaping their dream projects, but all shared the same passion for innovation. 💡 The 99-second pitches were an absolute highlight, and I was especially impressed by the incredible female founders behind Hei Dingo and RunUp. It’s inspiring to see empowered women driving innovation and making a real impact! Beyond the pitches, I had thought-provoking conversations, met brilliant people, and left feeling energized and grateful for the opportunity to glimpse into this thriving ecosystem. Last Thursday, we hosted a New York Climate Week pitch event alongside our friends at SNØCAP and Founders Live. We had an amazing turnout on the 25madison rooftop! Five founders took the stage, showcasing ideas at the forefront of climate tech, reflecting the growing momentum in this industry. A big thank you to everyone who came out, and shoutout to itselectric for taking home the Climate Solutions Prize with their pitch on reinventing the EV charger leveraging buildings’ untapped electricity supply to fuel vehicles.
