Not all heroes make it home... That tragedy rings true as an average of 21 families watch their First Responder loved one walk out the door, only to never return. The impact of a line-of-duty death (LODD) goes far beyond the badge. Not only does a community & agency lose a servant leader... a spouse loses their warrior / best friend, a child loses their hero, and a family experiences a loss of income. While we can't always prevent LODDs, we can help reduce the financial burden it creates for families in our country by being a direct source of financial support. All of this is made possible by the generosity of our donors and our 100% Giving Model – where every single public dollar donated goes to these families. A bright light in a dark place for the families of fallen First Responders.
About us
The Hard Truth... Each month, an average of 21 First Responders sacrifice all in the line of duty. This leads to a double tragedy as their families are often plunged into financial and emotional hardship, with many relying on bake sales and fundraisers—only to barely keep their heads above water. We’re grateful for the bake sales, but they fall short of the true immediate needs of the families of fallen First Responders. FRBA was created to end the tragedy behind the tragedy. The Bright Light... When a First Responder tragically perishes in the line of duty, FRBA steps in to provide hope-giving financial support to their family. Through your generosity, we’re able to distribute vital funds to their most pressing basic needs. This means a spouse can focus on grieving the loss of their loved one, without the burden of wondering how their bills will get paid, how their kids will be fed, or how their lights will stay on, during the darkest hour. 100% Giving Model... Our founder, First Responder Task Force (www.FRTF.us), funds all of our administrative and overhead expenses - making it possible for 100% of the public donations we receive to go directly to serving the families of fallen First Responders. The average nonprofit spends nearly 66% of public donations on administrative and overhead expenses that include salaries, general expenses, and fundraising costs. This means for every $1.00 donated, only $0.34 is actually given to those you intended to help. With our 100% Giving Model, for every $1.00 donated, a family receives $1.00. That's generosity, done right. Our Goal... By 2025, our goal is to be an immediate source of financial and emotional support to 100% of families impacted by the loss of a First Responder in the line of duty. How You Can Help... To find out more about how we’re helping the families of fallen First Responders, and how you can become an ally in this mission, visit: www.FRBA.org

In the world of firefighting, resilience and courage are paramount, and women who choose this path exemplify these qualities in extraordinary ways. Despite the challenges and barriers they face, women in firefighting continue to break down walls, proving that strength knows no gender. Women make up only about 9% of the total firefighting workforce in the United States, a testament to their determination in a traditionally male-dominated field. Despite this small percentage, their impact is immense and growing, as they bring unique perspectives and skills to their teams. Their presence enriches the firefighting community, fostering an environment of inclusivity and collaboration. Every day, these remarkable women put their lives on the line, embodying the true essence of heroism. They tackle the same rigorous training, face the same dangerous situations, and share the same commitment to saving lives and protecting communities. Their resilience not only inspires their peers but also paves the way for future generations of women in firefighting. We stand united in honoring the incredible courage and resilience of women in firefighting. Their dedication to service is a beacon of hope and strength, reminding us all of the power of determination and equality. We hold them high in our mission, ensuring that their contributions are recognized and celebrated. Let us continue to support and uplift these extraordinary women, acknowledging their invaluable role in our communities. Together, we can create a more inclusive future where women in firefighting are not just surviving but thriving. Thank you for your unwavering bravery and for leading the charge in building a better, safer world for us all. 🚒💪 . . . #WomenInFirefighting #BreakingBarriers #ResilientHeroes #Trailblazers #Heroes #Firedepartment #WomeninFire #Firefighterfamily #firefighter #womenmakinghistory #History #thinredline #firstresponders #fypシ゚ #fypシ゚viralシ #firefighters #explorepage #family #hero #firehouse #firefighterlove #firefamily #firechief #hero #Firstresponderfamily #firewife #actsofkindness #neverforget

This weekend, we received a stark reminder of the dangers first responders face daily. A dedicated trooper was struck while on duty on I-65 in Hart County. Thankfully, he is receiving medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, and we are hopeful for his swift and full recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family, as well as the entire Kentucky State Police Department. With temperature drops occurring throughout the nation making travel conditions hazardous, we urge everyone to stay home and avoid unnecessary travel when the weather is inclement. The safety of our first responders and community members is paramount. These brave individuals work tirelessly in freezing temperatures, risking their lives to ensure our safety. Too often, routine traffic stops become tragic due to reckless driving, adverse weather conditions, or failure to move over. Let's honor their commitment by taking every precaution to keep the roads safe. Remember, each first responder has a family waiting for their safe return. Their sacrifices are invaluable, and it's our duty to support them by driving safely and heeding warnings. Together, as a community, we can protect those who dedicate their lives to protecting us. We are grateful for their unyielding service and wish all our first responders a safe return to their loved ones. Thank you for your courage, resilience, and unwavering dedication. 🌟🚔💙 Find out how you can make an impact in the first responder community, visit https://smpl.is/a00ks and join us in honoring first responders and fallen first responder families. . . “Fauquier County Deputies wear many hats in the line of duty and last Saturday two of them became heroes. DFC. Zachary Lawrence and MDS. John Clubb helped deliver a healthy baby boy into the world, before his mother could get to the hospital in time. DFC. Lawrence was running stationary radar when a vehicle pulled up beside him. The motorist said her passenger was in labor and they couldn’t get to the hospital in time. DFC. Lawrence called for another deputy to respond to his location to assist. Meanwhile, he kept the situation calm with words of encouragement. MDS. Clubb arrived on location and immediately jumped into action. He went to the passenger side of the vehicle where he found the mother in a reclined seat. He instructed her to take a few deep breaths and assured her that rescue was on the way. The driver informed MDS. Clubb that the contractions were less than a minute apart. MDS. Clubb and DFC. Lawrence assisted in delivering the baby. MDS. Clubb wrapped the baby in a blanket and handed him to his mother. He made sure the airway was not obstructed, and the baby started to cry. EMS arrived on scene and took over care for the baby and mother providing transport to Fauquier Hospital. Baby and mother are doing great. They stopped by the Sheriff’s Office yesterday for an official introduction. They wanted to thank DFC. Lawrence and MDS. Clubb in person for their quick action and help! WELL DONE!!!!
