Free Library of Philadelphia reposted this
In an incredible Authors Series event on November 20, 2024, hosted by the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation at the Parkway Central Library, President Bill Clinton joined us to discuss his latest book, “Citizen: My Life After the White House.” The 400-seat auditorium was sold out with an additional 120 people in attendance, and President Clinton regaled the audience with candid, powerful stories about his time post-presidency and the state of our democracy. A special thank you to Daniel Blank our new Managing Director of Public Programs, who was instrumental in making this happen, as well as the Author Series team. This event also would not be possible without the many staff members at the Library. We would like to extend our utmost gratitude to President Clinton and moderator Jonathan Capehart for this memorable and historic evening at the Free Library of Philadelphia! Pictured are: President Bill Clinton, Jonathan Capehart (Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, MSNBC), Monique Moore Pryor, Esq. (Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation Executive Director), D. Jeffry Benoliel (Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation Board Chair), Jude Tuma (Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation First Vice Chair and Treasurer), Daniel Blank, Kelly Richards (President of the Free Library of Philadelphia), Priscilla Suero, MBA (First Deputy Director of the Free Library of Philadelphia), Bret Perkins (Inaugural Corporate Sponsor, Comcast Senior Vice President of External and Government Affairs), A. Morris Williams Jr. (Inaugural Author Events Benefactor), Elaine Camarda, Marc Shrier, Robert Hein, and former Director of Secret Service for President Obama and Philadelphia native, Joseph Clancy (Current Vice President and Chief Security Officer at Comcast). Please make a one-time or monthly gift to the Free Library Fund to ensure Author Series events continue to inspire Philadelphians and help us build an enlightened community devoted to lifelong learning. https://lnkd.in/e5xhST9Q #FreeLibraryFoundation #AuthorSeries #Politics #BillClinton #Memoir
