The Integrative Harm Reduction Psychotherapy Training was a success! Dr. Andrew Tatarsky, Clinical Director of Freedom Institute and a pioneer in IHRP, led an inspiring think tank of dedicated addiction, mental health, and harm reduction professionals. Together, the group explored a new paradigm for understanding and supporting individuals facing high-risk and addictive behaviors—shifting from a disease model to a more nuanced perspective that embraces a harm reduction-informed continuum of care. The IHRP approach emphasizes bridging low-threshold efforts to ensure people stay healthy with a variety of therapeutic modalities, including abstinence-focused treatment. The vision is to meet individuals where they are in their journeys toward positive change, supporting them through all stages and goals. Thank you to all who attended – and we look forward to exploring IHRP with you again.
