I have always loved "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" by Tears for Fears and so I tried to cover it. FULL VERSION HERE: https://lnkd.in/gu6TH_QE I took a live take this week in the studio with just acoustic guitar and vocals. This song is timeless. The lyrics hit different as I get older and I see the same patterns of behavior today that are visualized in the lyrics when Tears For Fears wrote this brilliant song back in the 1980s. I just wanted to record this to help people through a tough time. It helped me, as music has that power. A lot of things change and a lot of things don't or move as fast we we would hope they would in this world. You have to keep moving forward, despite everyone's attempt to control everything. This is such a great song and I hope I do it some kind of justice. This is not to be an exact replication of the song, but my interpretation in a solo setting. Copyright belongs to the artist.
