Since October 7th, the #IsraelDefenseForces have mobilized the largest number of reservists in their history—a vast cross-section of society that includes students, entrepreneurs, and business leaders. These men and women have put their lives on hold, leaving classrooms and boardrooms to stand in defense of #Israel. Friends of the #IDF provides mobile workspaces outfitted with furniture, internet access, and power outlets. These spaces allow reservists to maintain their #education, manage their #careers, and stay connected to their loved ones, even amid #service. Your support bridges the gap between duty and the future, ensuring that when these soldiers return home, they are ready to seamlessly rejoin their lives. ⭐️Congratulations to our partner #NefeshBNefesh! The dedicated wing for #LoneSoldier support, featuring a resilience center developed in collaboration with #ShebaMedicalCenter to deliver essential #mentalhealth and #PTSD care for #IDF soldiers and their families, is extraordinary. #FIDF thanks our donors for supporting Israel's protectors.
Announcing the Nefesh B'Nefesh Tel Aviv Center! 🏢🇮 🇮🇱 Located in the Azrieli tower, we are excited to announce the opening of a new NBN Center in Tel Aviv which will complement our Jerusalem Aliyah Campus - helping us extend the organization’s resources and further expand our four core operating areas: Aliyah, National Service, National Development, and Zionist Education. The Center will be divided into two wings: one wing, in partnership with Jewish National Fund - USA, will focus on Aliyah integration, providing employment guidance, community events, educational resources, integration tools, bureaucratic navigation, and social programming to support Olim in their Aliyah journey, with the capacity to host large events. The second wing, devoted to the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF)–NBN Lone Soldiers Program, will provide comprehensive support for the thousands of Lone Soldiers from 70 different countries. A full spectrum of resources prior, during, and after the mandatory army service will be offered as well as include a resilience center, developed in partnership with Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer and the FIDF, designed to offer mental health support for Lone Soldier Olim and their families. The establishment of the Tel Aviv Center has been made possible through the generous support of the Jewish National Fund - USA, Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) and The Marcus Foundation, whose partnerships have empowered the organization to expand its mission across Tel Aviv and create a powerful support system for Israel’s new immigrants and Lone Soldiers. The Center is designed as a vibrant, central space for community-building, programming, and comprehensive support. The new Tel Aviv Center will house expanded programming for Olim, employment and professional growth opportunities, a holistic Lone Soldier center that will serve thousands of men and women from around the globe, mental health care for Lone Soldiers and the Olim community, and an extensive Zionist educational track. In an extraordinary display of preparedness and partnership, this Field Hospital drill underscores the #FriendsOfTheIDF (#FIDF) #mission and your donations’ unique role in supporting Israel’s defenders. Witnessing doctors, midwives, paramedics, and logistics experts—many reservists themselves—transform a field into a fully functioning hospital in hours was nothing short of astonishing. Together, we built triage units, operating rooms, labs, and essential spaces with the focus and precision of seasoned teams prepared for anything. Day two brought real tests, simulating front-line injuries. The team worked tirelessly in sweltering conditions, supported by FIDF’s critical backing in health, well-being, and education. This collaboration isn’t just logistics—it’s an urgent commitment to #Israel. And in these moments of teamwork and resilience, the profound impact of your support comes to life. This past weekend, four Israeli soldiers, all 19, were kill⍷d in a H⍷zbollah drone strike at the Golani training base near Binyamina in north-central Israel. Fifty-eight soldiers were wounded, with 40 still hospitalized. The Golani Brigade, one of Israel’s most elite and storied infantry units, is part of FIDF's Adopt a Brigade program and has suffered significant casualties since October 7th. In the words of the Chief of the General Staff: “We are at w⍶r, and an ⍶ttack on a training base on the home front is difficult, and the results are painful. You operated well to treat and evacuate the wounded and injured. Embrace the bereaved families, accompany the wounded, and strengthen the commanders and soldiers. We continue to operate and train for what is ahead. The Golani Brigade has recorded many achievements in this w⍶r and dealt resolutely with difficult situations—continue on the path of this legacy." The Ministry of Defense, Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF), and the Association for Israel's Soldiers signed a historic agreement to establish a National Center for Mental Health and Resilience for active-duty and reserve IDF soldiers, the first of its kind. With a $40M donation from FIDF, this new center will focus on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment to help soldiers reintegrate into active service and lead healthy lives post-release. The center will include a research and development department for mental health, trauma, and resilience; workshops for IDF commanders on PTSD prevention; psychotherapy and rehabilitation services; and training for caregivers. This initiative will provide holistic care for post-trauma victims of the Iron Swords War and marks a historic milestone in supporting the mental strength and well-being of IDF soldiers. FIDF is the only U.S. nonprofit working directly with IDF leadership, supporting Israel’s soldiers, every day. Join us in leading the charge to care for soldiers with PTSD: https://lnkd.in/erKqk9nA

✨ Inauguration of the PEIMA IDF National Center for Mental Health and Resilience ✨ Funded by #FIDF. The IDF National Center for Mental Health and Resilience was officially inaugurated on August 20th in Tel Aviv. Leaders from across Israel Defense Forces and AFIS joined forces to launch this vital facility, providing much-needed support for active-duty soldiers dealing with PTSD and other challenges. 🎖 Highlights from the event included inspiring words from top Israeli military leaders, including Brigadier General Eli Azar, Major General Yaniv Asor, Major General (Res.) Yoram Yair and FIDF National Chairman, Morey Levovitz (seen in the photograph). We’re proud to witness the start of this first-ever center dedicated to active IDF soldiers' mental health, which will offer essential care to those who serve and protect us. We salute Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer for their partnership in the support, care, and treatment of IDF soldiers with PTSD #MentalHealth #IDF #Resilience #PTSDSupport #StrengthInService #PEIMACenter
