FLOW was formed as a non-profit 501© 3 in August 1997. Our mission is to keep the Olentangy River and its tributaries clean and safe for all to enjoy, through public education, volunteer activities, and coordination with local decision-makers. As FLOW changes to meet the environmental and social challenges of the 21st century, we are excited about the possibilities for action that lie ahead. The opportunities for communication that exist today are unprecedented and filled with potential. FLOW aims to use these to reach a larger audience, in order to instill a common regard for the resources on which we all depend.

They might spell center weird but those Canadians are ok in our book with their attention to invasive species.
What's the big deal? | Invasive species are the second greatest driver of biodiversity loss globally. For instance, at least 218 invasive alien species have been responsible for more than 1,200 local extinctions, according to the IPBES Invasive Alien Species Assessment. Preventing and managing invasive species is crucial to protect native species and the health of the environment. Learn more about simple ways you can help: https://bit.ly/3aA68uo

Monarchs are back, baby! Now is the time to check out your local milkweed patch and see if you’ve got any new visitors. In central Ohio, we’re seeing monarch and milkweed tussock moth caterpillars in early instars, plus the myriad of other specialists that feel at home on milkweed leaves and flowers. #madscientistassociates #makingadifference #monarchs #milkweed #nativeplants #lifecycle #natureisbeautiful
These bugs kill maples, walnuts and grape vines. No grapes, no wine! 🍇 🍷
Thanks to all of the volunteers that showed up to remove honeysuckle, buckthorn, callery pear and other invasives at Ohio State University’s “Carmac Woods”. If you see these invasives in your landscape, please remove them and replace with native species like redbud, dogwood and red oak (just to name a few).

Beware the “pretty” white flowering tree! Help FLOW by volunteering at one of our invasive species removal events. Also let your friends and neighbors know that these plants are bad news. https://lnkd.in/g4p93iw4
