About us

Frog Hollow Farm is a thriving organic regenerative 280-acre farm located in Brentwood, California. We’ve been growing legendary fruit since 1976. Our orchard is home to thousands of trees that produce peaches, nectarines, cherries, mulberries, apricots, apriums, plums, pluots, Asian and European pears, olives, persimmons, quince, apples, and more. We are certified organic with C.C.O.F. (California Certified Organic Farmers) and are committed to regenerative practices. We proudly make 3,000 tons of compost annually, store carbon in our soil, foster biodiversity above and below ground, and conserve water. Everything we do on the farm to care for our soil, trees, and team translates into high unparalleled flavor in our fruit. Our highly skilled team picks our fruit tree-ripe, allowing for maximum flavor and nutrients to develop. Just steps from our orchard, our Farm Kitchen produces an incredible array of high-quality artisan foods, many featuring our fruits. In addition to our growing practices, we are committed to caring for our team. Many farms rely primarily on seasonal hires, and though our ranks swell during the harvest season as well, because we care for our trees by hand and produce gourmet foods, we provide year-round employment for our team and host monthly wellness workshops.

  • Happy World Soil Day from Frog Hollow Farm! Today, and every day, we celebrate the life beneath our feet — soil! At Frog Hollow, we know that healthy soil is the heart of regenerative agriculture and is essential for producing the incredibly flavorful and legendary, organic fruit we’re known for. But soil isn't just a growing medium, it is a complex, living ecosystem that sequesters carbon, filters our water, and supports a more resilient climate. By nurturing our soil we ensure the health and productivity of our land is not only maintained but improved upon and continually revitalized. Healthy soil means healthy crops—which are nutrient-rich and flavorful for our customers—and a healthier environment for all. Here at Frog Hollow, we practice regenerative farming by embracing methods such as composting, cover cropping, and minimal tillage. These practices work in harmony with nature, enriching our soil while creating a thriving ecosystem under our feet. In essence, we are not just farming — we are giving back to the land that feeds us, ensuring that it can continue to produce healthy fruit for our community for years to come! • Did you know that each year, a shocking amount of food goes to waste? According to ReFed, a staggering 38% of the 235 million tons of food in our supply chain went unsold or uneaten in 2022. Here in California alone, 7.35 million tons of produce met the same fate. At Frog Hollow Farm, we're on a mission to change that narrative. As stewards of the land and producers of highly perishable fruit, we're deeply committed to reducing food waste and utilizing as much of the harvest as possible for its "highest and best use" - meaning that it is finding its way to the table and being eaten by people! Our incredible Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) members play a pivotal role in our efforts. By embracing cosmetically imperfect and perfectly ripe fruit, they help us divert food from going to waste. Thanks to their unwavering support, in 2023 alone, we rescued and packed 161,304 pounds of fruit that would have otherwise been deemed unsellable for eating out of hand. In our Farm Kitchen, our skilled team of food artisans transforms surplus fruit into delightful treats. In 2023 we sent 107,179 pounds of fruit to the kitchen where it was crafted into exceptionally flavorful dried fruit, conserves, and pastries. And exciting news is ahead this summer! With the introduction of our new peach pitter, we're poised to elevate our efforts even further. More ultra-ripe and cosmetically challenged fruit will find its purpose as delicious dried snacks, thanks to this innovative addition to our dried fruit operation. Together, we're proving that reducing food waste isn't just responsible—it's deliciously rewarding. Join us this Food Waste Prevention Week in celebrating our collective efforts towards a more sustainable future, one peach at a time. 🌱🍑 #BeAFoodWasteHero #FWPW #FoodWastePreventionWeek
