Starting a delivery service is not that hard. You can open one up next week if you hustle to find customers and drivers, hence the low barrier of entry. Safe to say National Restaurant Association Show was a FULFLLD event! Biggest highlight was the exciting Sizzle and Spin' class. Compliments to Geoff Alexander Amy Hom Carin Stutz Olivia Fazzola & everyone else who helped organize it! All for a great cause indeed. Sat in on a Restaurant Leadership presentation and learned a LOT. Did not catch the names of the presenters, but they were wonderful (believe they were affiliated with ServSuccess). ....Favorite quotes: "Goals without measurements are just dreams" "If they haven't caught it, we haven't taught it" Amazing food + samples including Vienna Beef dogs 🤤 Interesting panel discussion hosted by Carl Orsbourn with Jennifer Bell & Reed Daniels. Especially enjoyed the discussion on how "data is the new oil". Unfortunately did not get to see everything as duty calls and the place is HUGE - but looking forward to the next one!

Food On Demand Las Vegas 2024 was a great success! Learned about the latest industry trends ✅ Networked with industry leaders ✅ Connected with existing customers F2F ✅ Didn’t get hustled by grandmas at the poker tables ✅ Things to write home about: - ezCater data shows 97% of catering customers would like to have delivery tracking - CloudKitchens Travis Kalanick showed when restaurant operators see improvements in their processes (through the help of tech), they get more profitable. - Papa Johns Andrew Garfrerick emphasized the importance of streamlining deliveries coming from multiple channels. More specifically, the deliveries should not be disorganized, but sound like a Beethoven orchestra, synchronous and harmonious. - “Success is 99% execution” a quote that Andrew quoted which resonated with me. And many more interesting conversations including but not limited to… Jim Bitticks, CFE Dave's Hot Chicken, Dog Haus Panera Bread CAVA Uber DoorDash Truly appreciate all the interesting and genuine conversations I had with everyone. Never fails to amaze me how everyone has an interesting story coming from diverse backgrounds! Definitley feeling FULFLLD after this event.
