This month, Gallagher proudly celebrated our firm’s pro bono milestones at the second annual Pro Bono Celebration, featuring remarks from representatives of House of Ruth Maryland. The event recognized attorneys and staff who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to providing legal support and volunteering in the community. Attendees also enjoyed a delicious showcase by Dignity Plates Culinary Training Academy , whose talented chefs are building their culinary careers with the support of The Franciscan Center of Baltimore. Warm. Genuinely interested in colleagues and clients. Makes walking through the front door a joy. These are some of the phrases used to describe Jean Sommers, who is retiring after 45 (yes, 45) years of supporting her colleagues at Gallagher Evelius & Jones. We were delighted to share a special retirement breakfast with Jean and her family today. Former managing partner Rick Berndt said of Jean, “You’re one of the best people I’ve ever met.” Jean has touched many lives and greeted many clients during her tenure. We wish her a well-deserved, joyful retirement.

Gallagher is thrilled to share that Frederick Gerriets has officially been sworn into the Maryland Bar and joins Gallagher as an associate.
