Last week, our Gallagher team had a fantastic time at Northland Field Days in Dargaville. It was great to connect with the Northland community, explore the impressive exhibits and enjoy wonderful weather. We particularly loved sampling the wallaby quesadilla prepared by Northtec cookery students! A huge thank you to ANZ Northland for inviting us to be part of the ANZ stand once again. Thanks also to everyone who stopped by for a chat— it was great catching up with so many of you over the three days. What a weekend! Challenge Wanaka Triathlon Festival wrapped up on February 15, with athletes pushing through the heat on one of the world’s most breathtaking middle-distance courses. This year was extra special—our first as the principal naming sponsor. And with the race returning to Wānaka township, the atmosphere was electric. Gallagher was right in the thick of it, with three corporate teams, one individual competitor, and plenty of volunteers behind the scenes—cheering, supporting, and even handing out medals. Event highlights: ✔️ 2,900+ athletes over three days ✔️ 2,100 future champs in youth events ✔️ 800 competitors in Saturday’s big race ✔️ 40% more individual athletes than last year ✔️ 200 volunteers making it all happen ✔️ 5,000+ spectators soaking up the action 2026 is calling... Exciting news Aucklanders - the Gallagher Kiwi Art Trail is back in town.   From tomorrow, you’ll be able to spot stunning kiwi sculptures adding a splash of colour to our streets. The trail begins at Commercial Bay and weaves along the waterfront - check out the map for the exact locations.   This beautiful tribe of kiwi is in town for five weeks and then will be auctioned to raise money for Save the Kiwi conservation projects. Meet Wai, the 400th kiwi chick to hatch at the Gallagher Kiwi Burrow! This little one arrived in the early hours of 21 January, marking a huge moment for Save the Kiwi conservation efforts. Named after Wairakei, where the Kiwi Burrow is located, Wai is already thriving under the careful watch of the team. We’re proud to support Save the Kiwi, the national charity dedicated to protecting our most iconic bird. Through this partnership, the Gallagher Kiwi Burrow was established—a safe place where hundreds of kiwi chicks have hatched and taken their first steps toward the wild since 2019.
