Last night, Jay Bhalodi, CAIA was a panelist at the EY Minneapolis Alternative Fund Symposium. The panel discussed how emerging trends, particularly around talent, are impacting alternative fund managers. We are happy Jay was able to represent Garda!

Tricia Mosley, Managing Director of Trade Support, North America, moderated the 100 Women In Finance discussion, “Navigate the Current Interest Rate and Inflation Environment: Its Past and Future.” Many members of the Garda Wayzata team came out to attend the event and show support!

Garda’s Singapore office hosted an offsite in Penang, Malaysia. After an insightful Town Hall and discussion led by Alex Zhang, the team got to stretch their creative problem-solving skills with a “Squid Game”-inspired competition and scavenger hunt in George Town.   #GardaCapital #PeopleandCulture

U.S. recession concerns have reshaped global financial markets, bringing new challenges to the forefront. Inflation has taken a back seat as traders and investors now focus on potential rate cuts by the Federal Reserve. While lowering borrowing costs could counter economic slowdowns, it might also reignite inflation. Tim Magnusson, Chief Investment Officer of Garda Capital Partners, highlighted the dilemma with MarketWatch's Vivien Lou Chen: “The Fed has the air cover to cut as much as what is priced right now, or even more.
