Thanks to Arkansas Business Publishing Group for sharing Arkansas Water Leader Jerry T. Martin, P.E.’s thoughts on diversifying the STEM recruitment pipeline during #EWeek2025. Engineers Week highlights the importance of exposing K-12 students to engineering and STEM education, but truly addressing the workforce gap requires more. The AEC industry needs diverse talent – from proposal coordinators to CAD technicians, many careers offer valuable entry points into the industry. At Garver, we’re committed to building a bigger, stronger talent pipeline for the industry. Read Jerry’s article here: https://bit.ly/3CKof1N #GarverEWeek

Congratulations to Garver Director of Enterprise Solutions Jerry Holder, PE, for receiving the Ray LaHood Award at WTS Arkansas’ annual gala! Named after the former Department of Transportation Secretary who supported WTS International’s mission, the award honors a “Man of the Year” who has been key to advancing the WTS mission to attract, retain, and advance women in transportation. And Jerry certainly fits the bill. One of the first members of WTS Arkansas, he has also been one its biggest supporters as well as a friend and mentor to many in the industry. We can’t think of anyone more deserving of this honor.
