Introducing the 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 , an exciting initiative for student developers across India to solve real-world problems using Google Developer technologies. Organized by GDG On Campus in collaboration with Hack2skill .This challenge is dedicated to addressing global issues empowering students to innovate and create solutions that make a meaningful impact. Participants can register individually or in teams of up to four, presenting their ideas and MVPs for evaluation. The journey is designed to be enriching, with selected teams receiving expert mentorship to refine their projects. The challenge builds toward a thrilling Grand Finale, where the most impactful solutions will be recognized and rewarded. Indian chess prodigy D. Gukesh has made history by becoming the youngest World Chess Champion at just 18 years old. Competing in the FIDE World Chess Championship in Singapore, Gukesh defeated reigning champion Ding Liren, cementing his place as one of the brightest stars in the chess world. His victory also sets a new milestone, surpassing Garry Kasparov's record of becoming champion at 22 years old. Gukesh’s rise to the top has been extraordinary. A native of Chennai, he began playing chess at the age of seven and quickly established himself as one of India’s top players. By 2022, he had surpassed Viswanathan Anand, becoming India’s highest-ranked player, a position Anand held for over three decades. Gukesh has also received mentorship from Anand during his early chess career. This championship marks a significant achievement for Indian chess, highlighting the emergence of a new generation of talent. The event, which ran from November 25 to December 13, 2024, showcased Gukesh's combination of tactical precision and strategic foresight, earning him global acclaim.
