How do you visualize productivity? 🍝 Here are "spaghetti diagrams" of 2 trade workers on the same project on the same day. Who do you think accomplished more work that Friday? One spent 90% of his day on the same level, took one hoist ride for lunch and got back to work at the same place. The other had 7 hoist trips, and spent time in over 8 levels and numerous locations. He wasted roughly 30% of his day on movement. I can guarantee that the worker that spent less time moving, which was better enabled to focus on work got WAY more done. We like to think that workers are less productive because they are lazy, but that's WRONG. Both worker definitely didn't sit around all day. One was enabled by the GC and his manager, was able to waste less time on movement, and have more time on tools. How can you better enable your workers to reach maximum productivity? Shoutout to Lior, Anita and Sahar for the research! John, Chris, Felipe, I think you'd like this one. #construction #productivity #data

This graph ain't pretty ,but is super important IMHO. 🥧 As John Andres and I were working on our Procore Technologies #Groundbreak presentation, I was looking for some data on the numbers of stakeholders on a jobsite. It is clear that workers are the highest number, but I didn't think that 84% of the individuals on a jobsite are workers. They are out there, they are in charge of all progress, they have the highest risks and yet none of the solutions out there are built for them. We are missing out! Just imagine the potential of getting them onboard. 🤯
