It’s that time of year again, the NASCAR season is here. Team Chevy and race fans are gearing up for the 67th running of the DAYTONA 500. Chevrolet is the winningest brand in the NASCAR Cup Series with more wins at Daytona International Speedway than any other manufacturer, including last year. I’m excited three Chevrolets will be pacing all three races at DIS this weekend: a Corvette Stingray, a Silverado RST and the Blazer EV SS. The SS will pace the DAYTONA 500 on Sunday. It’s a 615 horsepower, 3.4 second vehicle, making it the quickest SS we’ve ever produced. Chevrolet’s founder had a passion for racing, as such it’s in our DNA – and the SS is a testament to that. Yesterday we made more news at Daytona ahead of this weekend’s race by revealing our 1,300 horsepower Blazer EV.R NASCAR prototype. It’s an example of how we test and explore new technologies that will yield learnings that could benefit race programs and the development of production cars. It will be on display this weekend at the Chevrolet Experience Center along with multiple historic cup cars, Blazer EV SS, and our famed Firebird I. Let’s bring home that checkered flag! #IWorkForChevy

Our intense focus on quality is paying off, as seen in today’s release of the J.D. Power 2025 Vehicle Dependability Study. The results are in, and they place General Motors and all our brands among the best in the business. Of the 20 rated GM models, 15 earned a podium finish – top three in their respective segments – nearly double that of any other automaker. Six of our entries received the top award for dependability in their category, tied for the lead among manufacturers. All four of our brands finished in the top ten overall among the 30 rated in the study, including Buick, which finished first in its category and won the “Overall Mass Market Nameplate” award. I’m incredibly proud of all our teams and their hard work and quality-first mindset that got us here. And I know it’s going get even better as we continue to develop and assemble the best, broadest portfolio of ICE vehicles and EVs you’ll find anywhere.

I continue to be so proud of what our teams accomplish at General Motors, and this time, a huge shout out to the talented Corvette team. They went out with the Corvette ZR1 and broke not one, not two, but five lap records at some of the most prestigious racetracks in the country! These are our own GM engineers – not pro race drivers. Everything about ZR1 was developed in-house, nothing outsourced, and the car is made in the U.S.A. in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Congratulations to everyone involved! https://lnkd.in/dqbYYKHy

  • We launched new vehicles in 2024, providing our customers with even more options. And it's paying off. We had record financial results and grew our U.S. sales and market share as customers responded to our great new designs from Chevrolet, GMC, Buick and Cadillac. Thank you to our customers, dealers, suppliers, and especially, our employees. We've got significant momentum in 2025 and we’re looking forward to the road ahead.

The future of electric has to be built from the ground up, with bold thinking and brave new ideas. Experts like Kurt Kelty are helping us bring this vision to life as we power up a domestic battery supply chain to support our ever-growing EV lineup. I couldn’t say it any better than what Alan Ohnsman wrote for Forbes: “Affordability is central to General Motors EV strategy and it’s starting to pay off.” With a great EV platform enabling the widest range of EVs from one company, battery innovation will be our path to getting more drivers to go electric. Now a year into my time at GM, I’m so confident that our team will continue to lead the industry’s progress. https://lnkd.in/gTG92pa4

As the greater Los Angeles community continues to face the devastating wildfires, our thoughts remain with those impacted.   Our OnStar Crisis Assist Services program is available free of charge to customers in the area, and mobile EV charging units will be deployed across the LA metro region to support those without regular charging access.   For more information and to learn how GM is providing support on the ground in LA, visit: https://lnkd.in/gm3X2Mk7

🚗 At every turn of the road, General Motors chair and CEO Mary Barra has reinforced the mantra that 2024 was the "year of execution." 🚗 Barra and her team made good on that promise to investors who were yearning for better returns, ultimately earning the auto icon the 2024 Yahoo Finance Surprise of the Year award. 🏆 "There's been a lot of change. We're an industry in transformation and GM itself is in the midst of making sure we're ready and proactive for the changes that are coming," Barra told me in an exclusive sit-down. Tightening the grips on EV losses and making better-received cars have paid off for GM. The company lifted its profit guidance each time it reported earnings in 2024, powered by strong adoption of new crossover models, such as the Chevy Trax and the Cadillac Lyriq EV, and savvy cost cuts. Shares of GM have charged to a 47% advance this year. More with Barra on 2025 plans, potential Trump tariffs and the road ahead for EVs. ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/en2hiR6t

  • Meet the driving force behind the Cadillac #LYRIQ – the incredible team at Spring Hill Manufacturing – which was recently crowned the Best-Selling Luxury EV in the US. Spring Hill is also the future home of the groundbreaking Cadillac #VISTIQ and is redefining luxury and innovation in the electric vehicle market. • Two major wins for the General Motors team! Not only has the Chevrolet Equinox EV been named InsideEVs EV of the Year, but our visionary leader Mary Barra has been honored as Person of the Year. These remarkable achievements reflect our unwavering commitment to shaping the future and delivering solutions that cater to every driver’s needs. Congratulations to Mary, Chevrolet, and the entire GM team!
