  • Ambassador Spotlight Series: Meet James Bray For James Bray, giving back to Georgia’s business community is more than a goal — it’s a calling. As the Lead for Team Atlanta Gas Light in the Georgia Chamber Campaign, James has spent 11 years helping businesses connect, grow, and thrive through Chamber membership. James understands the value of personal connections. By engaging prospects in meaningful conversations, he highlights the Chamber’s role as a pro-business advocate, offering members opportunities to influence policy, network, and access valuable resources from member benefits to educational events. As an ambassador, James has enjoyed incredible opportunities, traveling the world with his wife and building lifelong friendships with fellow ambassadors. His leadership and passion for advancing Georgia’s business landscape make him an invaluable part of the Team Georgia Chamber Campaign.

  • Congratulations to our very first Rural Community of the Year award winner: Metter-Candler County! A statewide panel reviewed applications from communities across Georgia and selected Metter-Candler County for their dedication to quality growth and economic development (and because everything *is* better in Metter). Companies want to operate in communities where people want to work, live, play, and pray—that is Metter-Candler County. The community’s success starts with the strong partnerships between the Metter-Candler Chamber of Commerce and other community organizations, which is a model for Georgia’s rural communities. We look forward to more successful collaboration with Metter-Candler County, and all communities in Georgia! Thank you to Georgia Power Company for sponsoring the inaugural #GeorgiaChamberRuralAwards and your commitment to economic development in Georgia.

  • Ambassador Spotlight Series: Meet Mike Flannagan For Mike Flanagan, fostering economic growth is a lifelong passion. With over 30 years in commercial real estate and his current role managing Great Southern Bank’s Regional Loan Production Office, Mike has helped drive development across Georgia. An ambassador for over 20 years, Mike joined the Team Georgia Chamber Campaign to educate on the Chamber’s benefits and promote membership. He thrives during campaign kickoff, reconnecting with members, introducing new prospects, and showcasing the Chamber’s vital role in Georgia’s economic success. Beyond his professional life, Mike has served as a board member of Catholic Charities Atlanta since 1998. He enjoys golfing, fishing, hiking, and spending quality time with his wife and their four children. The Team Georgia Chamber Campaign is proud to have Mike as an ambassador. His dedication to fostering relationships and advancing Georgia’s economic landscape makes him an invaluable part of our team and a champion for businesses statewide.
