Companies everywhere are voluntarily stepping up to report on their #sustainability efforts. According to a recent progress report by a leading standards provider, 82% of businesses now disclose climate-related data. This trend isn't just among the big players, 50% of the Russell 2000 companies now report some form of ESG data. As stakeholder pressure grows, we expect these numbers to keep rising. No matter where global regulations land, the direction is clear: Companies are choosing to share more sustainability data—and they're asking their suppliers to do the same. If you haven't started your #sustainability data collection and reporting yet, now is the time. Don't risk getting left behind. Ready to take the first step toward voluntary reporting? 🌍 ESG is Here to Stay—Why Now Is the Time to Act With the election behind us, let’s focus on what’s ahead for #climate action and #sustainability. Even if federal efforts slow, global and state initiatives are accelerating. Businesses Are Doubling Down on #ESG: 🔹 Sustainability Reporting Soars (as shown by Reuters here: https://hubs.ly/Q02YgwdQ0): More companies report on ESG each year—no matter who’s in office. 🔹 Commitments Will Deepen: Over 2,700 U.S. companies joined the “We Are Still In” coalition after the Paris exit in 2016. Expect even more pledges now. ➡️ Large companies will continue to push commercial pressure down their supply chain as they accelerate toward ambitious climate targets. Mid-market companies should prepare to receive more requests for climate and other sustainability data. U.S. Federal Slowdown is Likely, But Others Will Pick up the Slack: 🔹 Global: The EU’s #CSRD, impacting ~50,000 companies (many U.S.-based), begins in 2025. 🔹 State: California’s #SB219 will impact 10,000 US companies in 2026. Other states will likely follow their lead. 📩 Dive Deeper We’ve unpacked these insights in our latest newsletter. Read more on how to prepare in this evolving landscape here: https://hubs.ly/Q02YgCml0
