The New Deal aims to crack down on: ❌ Exploitative zero-hour contracts to offer more workers more appropriate and reflective contracts. ❌ Unfair and unethical 'Fire & Rehire' schemes that provide an unfair candidate experience. In the New Deal, there are also details on: ✅ Improved parental leave and sick pay from Day 1. ✅ More protection for workers regarding unfair dismissal. The new bill will certainly offer workers and candidates more protection in the workplace, but some sources suggest that sick pay entitlements from Day 1 could leave businesses at risk of exploitation.
