Many people are aware of Mexico's beautiful beaches and world-class tourist destinations. What many may not know is that over the last few decades, Mexico has experienced immense growth in both the quantity and quality of its professional workforce. Through collaborative efforts between the government and industry, ecosystems favorable to the success of young engineers have been created and expanded. Between 2004 and 2015, the Mexican government established 120 tuition-free specialist technology universities. 𝐈𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐈-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 Google recently unveiled its next-generation AI tool, dubbed “Gemini”. They did this by showcasing its jaw-dropping capabilities in a demo video. However, the initial excitement took a hit, when they also released a behind-the-scenes type of article called “How it’s Made: Interacting with Gemini through multimodal prompting”. This detailed breakdown of the process felt like a magician revealing secrets. After dissecting the document, a few key points emerged: 1. Gemini’s current state isn’t significantly more advanced than models like GPT-4. 2. Google’s marketing department brilliantly painted an aspirational picture for the model. 3. Interacting with an AI in a way that is at least similar to what was shown in the video is likely still a year or two away. However, despite the initial letdown, this glimpse into the future serves as a catalyst for entrepreneurial imagination. Picture the potential in healthcare, quality control, or education!
