As the world grapples with global warming and deforestation, planting trees remains a powerful solution. Yet in India, afforestation drives often prioritize quantity over quality, with minimal focus on post-plantation care. This results in low survival rates and wasted resources. SankalpTaru, founded in 2012, addresses these challenges through innovative, technology-driven solutions. By enabling virtual tree plantations, donors can plant trees online, track their growth via GPS maps, and receive regular updates on their saplings. This transparent process builds trust and ensures long-term success. SankalpTaru’s programs include planting on barren community lands, equipping them with solar-powered irrigation, and supporting farmers with saplings, agronomy, and irrigation systems. We also inspire students with scientific models and accelerate afforestation using drones for seed dispersal. Additionally, blockchain technology creates tamper-proof records of plantations, enhancing transparency. Corporate partnerships further bolster efforts, aligning with carbon-neutral and ESG goals.
