After attending the final weekend of the exhibit, I can report that it was a huge success! From Prunedale Elementary to the Monterey Museum of Art 🎨✨ Third graders worked with amazing instructors to transform CDs into vibrant pieces of art. What a joy it was to be in the classroom as they created these pieces. Now, their creativity shines in a real museum exhibit, Lumina Lane! Seeing their reactions as they explored the installation was pure magic. I am thrilled to announce that Glacial Etch Media is collaborating with Set Free Monterey Bay to craft a Founder’s Story! Their mission to combat human trafficking and restore the lives of survivors through trauma-informed care, prevention education, and holistic support is critically important for the community. This project is about more than storytelling—it’s about amplifying their transformative work, celebrating their vision of hope, and engaging the Monterey Bay community in their fight to end exploitation. Currently in the prep phase, I’m working closely with their board of directors to ensure we authentically capture their journey and values. This project is a true honor, offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the installation process and insightful conversations with these incredible artists.
