Sweater weather is in full swing! But bundling up doesn’t always cut it. Too many of our neighbors across Southeast Michigan face impossible choices between everyday essentials—like heating their homes or buying groceries. That’s where you come in. A gift to Gleaners this winter ensures your neighbors have access to the foods they need most, including fresh fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, hearty grains, and legumes. Winter brings plenty of uncertainties—hunger doesn’t have to be one of them. Donate today to provide nourishment and take food insecurity off the table. https://lnkd.in/g_22k5ch

Thank you so much to Christian Financial Credit Union for your generous support, volunteerism, and dedication to nourishing our neighbors!
Yesterday, Christian Financial Credit Union presented Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan with $2,027.21 from our employee jeans day donated funds for the months of November & December. In addition to donating, Christian Financial employees volunteered with Gleaners during the months of November and December by helping load food in trunks of cars at one of their mobile food distribution centers, that is an outdoor, drive-up setting to serve families in need with healthy food. Gleaners Community Food Bank is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Their vision is to end hunger in Southeast Michigan. Gleaners serves five Southeast Michigan counties: Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston and Monroe. Gleaners provides food to more than 400 partner soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, schools and other agencies across the region, and supplements the efforts of those partners by offering direct service drive-up grocery distributions.
