Come along to this learning session I'm excited to hold space for soon 🌍 How can we better support climate adaptation innovators? Why? There are no silver bullets when it comes to adapting to the changing climate. There are thousands of brilliant innovators from communities in the most affected countries by climate change - all part of the puzzle, but struggling to finance their ideas. Often, the stuckness boils down to a lack of trust. Building trust is why we focus on facilitating learning networks and communities of practice at Climate-KIC and and as part of the Climate Adaptation Innovation Learning (CAIL) Initiative which is weaving together three communities of practice focused on investor awareness, understanding value and impact, and supporting innovators in climate change adaptation. In the upcoming session we will focus on what works in and what doesn't in supporting the growth of successful adaptation innovations. The discussion will sprout from learnings shared by: 🌀 Denise Engel, Project Lead for Private Adaptation Finance sharing learnings from the Private Adaptation Investment Bootcamp (PrivABoo) by GIZ and its innovative ecosystem-building approach 🌀 Ekin Celikyay, Community Engagement and Knowledge Sharing expert bringing actionable insights fom their work with the Adaptation Fund Climate Innovation Accelerator by UNDP 🌀 Ayoub Derdabi, Senior Programme Manager for Adaptation Innovation introducing Climate-KIC’s work with the Adaptation and Resilience ClimAccelerator programme in Tanzania Event Details 📅 Date: Tuesday, 28 January 2025 ⏰ Time: 16:00 – 17:15 CET 💻 Register Here: https://bit.ly/4jc9kxC CAIL is financed by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and implemented by UNIDO, UNIDO Climate Tech Innovation, in partnership with Climate-KIC, Global Adaptation & Resilience Investment Working Group (GARI), and United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI).
