Founded in 1997, GCEC brings together more than 200 member centers, hosts an annual conference, awards program, monthly learning webinars and leaders certificate programs—and continues to grow to meet the needs of entrepreneurship education leaders across the globe.

Following up on the great networking at last month's 2024 #GCEC Conference, we are hosting virtual networking by region on Friday, December 13, at Noon Central Time. When you register for the session, you will select your region so that we can arrange breakout rooms based on those regions during the session. We have a series of prompts to facilitate networking, and we hope it will be an excellent way for you to stay connected to your GCEC colleagues. This one-hour session will take place on Zoom. After registering, you will receive an email with the Zoom link. GCEC Virtual Connections is an excellent way to extend the connections made at our conferences. Thank you to all the #GCEC members who joined us for the 2024 GCEC Conference hosted by Babson College! More than 700 members convened in Boston and Wellesley, MA to share best practices, reconnect with peers, meet new colleagues, and have fun. The range of sessions, thought-provoking discussions, and shared enthusiasm left us all motivated to take on new challenges. 📣 The 4th Annual HBCU+ Entrepreneurship Conference hosted by Bowie State University will take place on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This year's conference is entirely virtual and is in partnership with the White House HBCU Initiative and the Tom Joyner Foundation. The theme, "Igniting Innovation, Building Legacies: Empowering the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs," perfectly aligns with Bowie State's mission to inspire and equip future business leaders. A highlight of this year's virtual conference is the inaugural "Tom Joyner's – I Got an Idea: HBCU Pitch Competition." The top six student finalists from HBCUs in the Mid-Atlantic & Mid-South Region will pitch their innovative ideas to a panel of experienced judges to win up to $5,000 in cash awards and $10,000 in scholarships.
