🌍 GETM4 Sandpit – Day 4 Meaningful Conversations 🌍 Day 4 of the GETM4 Sandpit at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez's Vina del Mar campus was a day of deep reflection and collaboration, with sessions designed to inspire meaningful 'multiloguing' - our own concept of multilateral dialogue - and drive impactful research. Here’s what we explored: 1️⃣ Round Table: Respectful Translation Led by Asst. Profs Dr. Afua Owusu-Kwarteng (Northumbria University Newcastle) and Dr. Vincent Tawiah (Dublin City University), this session focused on the role of social evaluations in fostering respectful translation between regions. It created a thoughtful space for UAI participants to reflect on equitable knowledge-sharing practices. 2️⃣ Focus Group: Researcher Development The overall aim of GETM4 is the development of research capacity at various levels such as individual, institutional and national. Associate. Profs. Dr. Rose Quan and Dr. Shilpa Iyanna (Northumbria University, Newcastle) facilitated an intimate session for GETM4 participants to discuss their personal and professional growth within the project using formal competence criteria and measures. Insights from these discussions and interviewes throughout the life of the project will shape the final Researcher Development Report, a cornerstone deliverable of GETM4. 3️⃣ Integrated Working Session: Inspiring Entrepreneurship Stories Facilitated by Associate Prof. Katri-Liis Lepik (Tallinn University) and Prof. Ezeni Brzovska (Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje / Универзитет „Св. Кирил и Методиј“ во Скопје), participants worked collaboratively to develop inspiring entrepreneurship stories from around the globe. The eventual full set of stories draws on all four previous research streams to produce integrated and international research outputs with impact. 💬 These sessions exemplify the power of international collaboration in addressing critical issues, fostering inclusivity and generating innovative ideas.
