On December 11, 2024 we conducted our final board meeting of the year and we welcomed participants from the wider business community to prepare for 2025. This Giving Tuesday, we pause to reflect on the remarkable progress Global LA has achieved in bridging our local businesses and communities with the world, fostering connections that bring global opportunities to our doorstep. Your support is vital to sustaining this momentum and continuing our mission. This year, we’ve been deeply involved in key events and initiatives that are shaping the future of Los Angeles as a global business hub. From spotlighting small businesses during Small Business Saturdays in LA (see links below) to attending major conferences and festivals, we’ve been working hard to elevate our local presence and forge connections beyond borders. Some highlights include: 1. Organizing a promotional event in Paris, France, showcasing LA’s dynamic business environment to international partners. 2. Engaging with strategic organizations in London, UK, and Atlanta, GA, to strengthen our network of global leaders and entrepreneurs. 3. Building lasting relationships with the Consular Corps and local businesses, continuing to grow our footprint right here in Los Angeles. 4. Creating an internship program with an initial cohort of three paid internship opportunities for local college students. 5. Creating engaging video content that highlights the diversity of people, places and businesses that make Los Angeles a dynamic and attractive region for foreign businesses. With the LA 2028 Olympics and the 2026 World Cup fast approaching, the need for stronger international ties and strategic partnerships is more critical than ever. As we prepare for these major global events, Global LA’s mission to build bridges between the world and LA has never been more important. But we can’t do it without your support.
