Grant Access Only When It’s Needed What if a third-party DBA needs access to a production AWS Aurora database for maintenance—but shouldn’t have standing privileges? Teleport’s TBAC (Time-Based Access Control) ensures secure, just-in-time access. Here’s how it works: ✅ A "Production DBA - Maintenance" role is defined with limited permissions and a short session timeout (e.g., 30 minutes) ✅ DBAs request access for a set time window (e.g., 2 hours) ✅ Authorized personnel approve the request, granting temporary access ✅ Access is automatically revoked when the session ends ✅ All actions are logged for auditing and compliance With TBAC, DBAs get access when they need it—and only when they need it.
