🌍 Reflecting on the Closing of the International Conference 🌱 A month ago, the conference concluded with a powerful message from Vasco Alves Cordeiro, President of the Comité das Regiões Europeu , emphasizing the crucial role of local and regional authorities in leading climate action. 🔑 Key Highlights from the Address: ✅ 70% of mitigation measures and 90% of adaptation measures depend on local and regional governments. ✅ These authorities must be centrally involved in both strategic planning and policy implementation. ✅ “No one and no region should be left behind” in the green transition. ✅ Adequate funding is essential for the success of the green transition. 🌱 His message reminds us that the path to sustainability begins locally, with the direct involvement of communities and regions.
