Check this out! 🗞️ GoGuardian is a proud member of the EDSAFE AI Alliance and contributor to a new guide recently published by the U.S. Department of Education Office of Education Technology that informs product leads and their teams of innovators how to work toward safety, security, and trust while creating AI products and services for use in education. Our own Teddy Hartman is quoted on strategies for responsible design: “AI isn’t a monolith. When developers think about responsible design and use of AI tools in education, it’s important to consider the range of AI applications and align their risk mitigation strategies to the relative risk of each tool. One strategy is to keep humans in the loop—for example, involving educators at optimal moments that help minimize the risks and maximize the value of these new technologies.” — Teddy Hartman, Head of Privacy and Trust, Pear Deck Learning What considerations do you work through when implementing AI in the classroom? Let us know in the comments below. 👇
Congratulations to the U.S. Department of Education Office of Educational Technology for releasing the “Designing for Education with Artificial Intelligence: An Essential Guide for Developers.” - this is an essential tool for the #edtech community. We are thrilled to see the EDSAFE AI Alliance SAFE principles called out as part of the guide's "dual stack" of innovation and responsibility.
