Today is Giving Tuesday and we are celebrating 30 years of giving back on Thanksgiving! 💛 When Chairman and CEO Mark Parmerlee’s sons were Boy Scouts, they helped spark a meaningful partnership that continues to this day. Every Thanksgiving, volunteers gather at the Dallas Central Expressway location at Meadow & I75 to prepare 600 meals for the church family at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. This partnership has become a multigenerational effort, with members of the original Boy Scout troops returning with their own kids to continue the tradition. It’s a beautiful way to teach young people the value of giving back while also fostering pride in the Golden Chick family. Together, with the help of volunteers, we serve up Golden Tenders, Rolls and Green Beans—all packed with love and care for those in need. Golden Chick is Growing in Louisiana! 🍗✨ We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our first-ever Shreveport location at 6229 Greenwood Road, marking our fourth restaurant in the Bayou State. Following two other Louisiana openings in the past month, this milestone reinforces our commitment to building upon strategic corporate expansion in Louisiana. Shreveport, being just a short drive from the Texas border, offers us an exciting opportunity to connect with a new audience while continuing to deliver the bold flavors and perfectly fried chicken we’re known for. “Golden Chick has been active within the Texarkana community for years now, but we’ve now officially crossed the border into Shreveport. While there has yet to be a physical Golden Chick location in the city, being so close to the Louisiana border has allowed us to build brand familiarity over the years, and anticipation from the community for the opening of the restaurant. The Golden Chick brand continues to thrive with a mix of corporate and franchise-owned locations across Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Florida—soon to expand into four additional states in 2025.
