At just 14 years old, Julia is not only a US gold medalist in figure skating but also a true young philanthropist with a big heart. After a challenging procedure last Thanksgiving, Julia, who’s been skating for six years and is a top-ranked ice dancer, knew she wanted to give back to kids facing similar struggles. For the second year in a row, Julia has more than doubled her toy donations, with support from businesses and families eager to get involved. At just 2 years old, Jaxson was diagnosed with leukemia. Now, at age 4, he’s celebrating his victory after a successful bone marrow transplant in 2023! This brave little superhero, who loves chips and staying active with his siblings, is an inspiration to us all. Today was truly magical as we received an incredible donation of over 250 toys from the amazing elves, Libbi and Elli LeDuff, along with their wonderful team of helpers. This heartwarming moment also marked the 4th Annual LibbiStrong Holiday Toy Drive, a celebration of love, generosity, and hope. Libbi, a brave 4-year-old two-time cancer survivor with a heart of gold, continues to inspire us all with her dedication to spreading joy and supporting children facing similar challenges. We are also deeply grateful to Primrose School of Estero and Primrose School of North Naples for their generous $5,000 donations to Barbara’s Friends, helping children currently battling cancer. The Snow Pile at Golisano Children’s Hospital is a cherished tradition that brings holiday joy to children spending the season in our care. Each year, we create a special “shopping” experience where families share their child’s wish list, and our Child Life team steps in to make those wishes come true! 🎄🎁 Thanks to the generosity of our community, thousands of toys are donated and distributed to bring smiles to the faces of our patients. We are truly thankful to the Southwest Florida community for spreading holiday joy to the patients and families at Golisano Children’s Hospital ! ❤️ The Annual Adyn and Abby’s LEGO’cy Toy Drive honors the memory of Adyn Pickett, who was diagnosed with leukemia at 4 years old and received treatment here. Adyn sadly passed away in 2022, but his love for LEGOs and his desire to share that joy with others lives on through this incredible toy drive.
