Another Great Goodwill Takeover! Last month, our Jamestown store employees went out for a well-deserved team lunch while members from our Triad Goodwill home office "took over" and ran the store for a bit. Thanks to everyone who participated and to our Jamestown store team! psst...you never know where they'll take over next 🤔

You'll need top notch digital skills, to teach said digital skills as well as job readiness topics, and to confidently drive a giant bus all around our 5-county territory (no CDL required). In addition to computer literacy, critical requirements include an impeccable driving record, the ability to thrive working independently/alone, and excellent customer service skills. If you know someone who would be incredible for this role, please share this with them! #jobalert #hiringnow #nonprofit https://lnkd.in/gbpHSQd9

⭐ Congratulations, Star Performer! ⭐ Crystal, our QA & Data Specialist, is Star Performer of the Quarter!!! Crystal is responsible for data management and data integrity for our Career Development Services. Her passion and excitement for this work is so big and so obvious, you would think her job was eating ice cream every day (certainly not DATA)! She loves to share her ideas about how to improve our systems and to connect that to how those efforts will improve our ability to provide mission services. She is an outstanding collaborator who seeks out solutions for the whole team. Congratulations, Crystal!! Thank you for going above and beyond at Goodwill! #missionmoment #starperformer #triadgoodwill

Getting a job wasn’t the main challenge Dantae faced upon being released from prison – it was finding the right job. After 16 years of incarceration, and no past work experience, he found himself with limited options for jobs that weren’t the right fit. He worked at two restaurants but struggled to connect and communicate with his managers and coworkers. “I don’t know if I’ve always been like this, but I might have. But the person prison made me, people can’t talk to me a certain way. I don’t see authority – we breathe the same air, made of the same blood, so I’m going to talk to everybody the same way.” Read his Success Story: https://lnkd.in/duhnGsCm
