I participated in Tuesday's DoD Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office, Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), and Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering GIDE Industry Insights Forum. 1️⃣ First, thank the team for creating a top-notch conference with an enterprise (systems) approach. Kudos to Radha Iyengar Plumb, Liz Young McNally, Thomas Browning, and their teams for putting this together.  It is an absolute must-attend event for anyone in the AI/ML business. 🗝 My key takeaways: 🔄 The collaboration amongst CDAO, DIU, R&E, and the warfighter is remarkable, and it is evident that Thomas Browning, Liz Young McNally, and Radha Iyengar Plumb are working hard to support the warfighter. 🔁 The implementation and systematic approach of GIDE, JFN, and DIU to bring capabilities to the joint force is essential for enterprise development. ↗ While not much has changed regarding the perennial challenges to leveraging AI/ML, this team is focused on the fundamental issue—data centricity and its operational application to Information Advantage (IA). For the warfighter, IA is a requirement for Decision Advantage. ⏳ Lastly, this is a generational journey about incremental gains. Finally, Gordias Analytics would like to welcome Katherine Sullivan to our 2024 internship program. Katherine is a rising junior at UNC-Chapel Hill, majoring in Management and Society with a minor in Entrepreneurship.
