Live Data started with a question: “Can job changes be tracked with info found on the open web?” Simply, we continually verify and correct B2B contact data for the people who use it most. We maintain a database and data sets covering over 70M people at 2M companies, updated in near real-time – including over 30K job changes daily. We are constantly working on providing more and better data delivery options so that those who rely on data accuracy and freshness can consume the data they need, how they need it.

I've been exploring several relationships between a company's human capital and stock performance – including Salesforce's jump in senior departures prior to a 20% stock drop and Crowdstrike's growing sales team that is driving the stock price up and to the right.     We all know that fewer people are quitting nowadays. What you might not know is that way fewer are moving up the org chart, my colleagues Jo Constantz, Ella Cerón and Daniel Neligh report for Bloomberg News today. Among 68 million white-collar professionals, just 1.3% were promoted in the first three months of the year, the lowest rate in five years, according to an exclusive analysis conducted for us by Live Data Technologies. Remember when job-title inflation was rampant as employers handed out pseudo-promotions like candy to hold onto people in 2021 and 2022? Those days are over, and the consequence is that a lot of workers got out over their skis. “They sometimes elevated folks a little bit beyond their skill set," said Aaron Terrazas, chief economist at Glassdoor. The bottom line?     Turning Job Change Data Into Insights | Former Professional 🚴♂️

    In the 30 days leading up to Salesforce's earnings miss and stock drop, the tenure of sales team members who left jumped 44%. This was the early indicator that all was not well. Senior employees leaving is a signal about the trajectory of a company. They are the people who have "seen it all." A 44% spike in the tenure of departing employees is at best a vote of no confidence and at worst people fleeing a sinking ship. Which key Salesforce employees jumped ship in the last 30 days? • Colin Fleming: EVP Global Marketing (13 years) • Sebastien Zins: AVP, Head of Sales France - Marketing Cloud (12 years, 11 months) • Tom Gersic: VP, Customer Success, Global Readiness (12 years, 5 months) • Alix Douglas: SVP, Global ISV Partnership Sales (11 years, 6 months) • Ally Witherspoon Johnston: SVP Marketing, Tableau (11 years, 4 months) • Geshri Gunasekera: VP of PMM, Sales Cloud (7 years, 2 months) • Orly Tabak Vallario: High Tech Enterprise Account Executive (5 years, 5 months) These were the people who knew the earnings miss was coming – the salespeople directly responsible for bringing in revenue.
