Newsmax perspective on GovGPT dispute with Axon. https://lnkd.in/g38Kqant

GovGPT CEO Raj Abhyanker Addresses National Security Concerns Highlighted in POLITICO’s Axon Report The recent POLITICO article sheds light on a critical issue that we at GovGPT have been raising for some time: the national security risks embedded within Axon Enterprise, Inc.'s technology. As leaders in the tech industry, we have a responsibility to ensure that the tools provided to our law enforcement agencies are secure and do not inadvertently compromise the safety of the very citizens they are meant to protect. Despite Axon’s attempts to minimize these risks, the facts are undeniable. The integration of these chips into law enforcement devices across the United States creates a potential gateway for compromising sensitive data and communications. The concerns raised by U.S. Congress and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) underscore the gravity of this issue and the necessity for immediate action. The deployment of Axon Body 4 cameras, particularly at politically sensitive events, without addressing these security risks, represents a profound threat to our national security. We have called upon the court to take decisive action: to prohibit the use of these cameras at such events and to mandate that Axon inform its law enforcement customers of the potential dangers posed by these devices. Our ongoing legal actions against Axon are not just about competition—they’re about a fundamental concern for our national security. The Axon Body 4 cameras, which incorporate the Quectel LTE communication chip manufactured in China, represent a significant vulnerability. These chips open the door to potential unauthorized access, surveillance, and data breaches by foreign adversaries—risks that are well-documented and have been raised by both U.S. Congress and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). In light of these serious concerns, we have urged the courts to take immediate action. We’re calling for a prohibition on the use of Axon Body 4 cameras at politically sensitive events until these risks are fully addressed. Additionally, we believe it is imperative that Axon informs its law enforcement customers about the potential security threats associated with these devices. This situation transcends the usual competitive landscape—it touches on the core of what it means to protect our nation. The tools designed to ensure public safety must not become liabilities that threaten it. At GovGPT, we are steadfast in our commitment to transparency, security, and the protection of American citizens from these emerging technological threats. As we move forward, we will continue to advocate for rigorous scrutiny and accountability across the industry. National security cannot be an afterthought—it must be the cornerstone of every technology decision we make. #NationalSecurity #PublicSafety #GovTech #LawEnforcement #CyberSecurity #TechAccountability #DataProtection #SecureTech #InnovationWithIntegrity

On July 29, 2024, GovernmentGPT, Inc., along with other plaintiffs, filed a class action lawsuit against Axon Enterprise, Inc. and Microsoft Corporation in the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. The lawsuit addresses a series of anticompetitive practices, privacy violations, and national security concerns related to Axon's body-worn cameras and digital evidence management systems. Key Points of the Lawsuit: Monopolistic Practices: Axon, holding over 94.4% of the U.S. market, has engaged in practices that stifle competition, including exclusive dealing contracts, strategic acquisitions of competitors, and tying arrangements. This has led to inflated costs for police departments and taxpayers, and limited market opportunities for innovative companies like GovGPT. Privacy and Security Violations: Axon has failed to disclose the presence chips, linked to the Chinese government which Congress has aid pose significant national security risks, including potential unauthorized surveillance. Impact on Law Enforcement and Taxpayers: The monopolistic and deceptive practices have forced municipalities and police departments to pay higher prices for necessary law enforcement technology, with these costs ultimately being passed on to taxpayers. GovGPT’s Superior Solutions: Our flagship product, the DragonFly tactical vest, offers advanced AI-powered threat detection, real-time haptic feedback, and seamless communication capabilities at a much lower cost. Despite these advancements, GovGPT faces significant market entry challenges due to Axon's entrenched market position. What We Seek: Declaratory and Injunctive Relief: To prevent Axon and Microsoft from continuing their unlawful conduct. Compensatory and Treble Damages: To address the economic harm suffered by plaintiffs and class members. Transparency and Accountability: Ensuring Axon discloses the risks associated with Quectel chips and offers remediation options to affected customers. How You Can Help: Join the Class Action: Municipalities, police departments, or individuals interested in joining as plaintiffs can email axonlitigation@legalforcelaw.com. Share Evidence: If you have relevant information or evidence, please reach out to us. Legal Support: Law firms interested in joining as co-counsel are welcome to contact us. This lawsuit aims to restore fair competition, enhance public safety, and protect the economic and security interests of taxpayers and law enforcement agencies. Your support and awareness are crucial as we navigate this critical issue. For any questions or press inquiries, feel free to reach out to me directly or email questions@governmentgpt.com. Thank you for your attention and support. Best regards, Raj Abhyanker Chief Executive Officer GovernmentGPT, Inc. #ElectionIntegrity #NationalSecurity #LegalAction #Surveillance #Axon #Microsoft #GovernmentGPT

🔴 Urgent Legal Action: Protecting Election Integrity and National Security 🔴 Dear Community, I am excited to share an important development from our team at GovernmentGPT, Inc. We have filed an emergency motion in the United States District Court for the District of Arizona to prohibit the use of Axon Body 4 cameras at political events during the 2024 presidential election cycle. This motion is part of a broader lawsuit against Axon Enterprise, Inc. and Microsoft Corporation. Why This Matters: 🚨 National Security Risks: Axon Body 4 cameras contain Quectel chips, which have been flagged for potential espionage by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). These chips can facilitate real-time surveillance, GPS tracking, and data interception, posing a significant threat to U.S. law enforcement operations and high-profile events. 🎯 Election Interference: The upcoming 2024 presidential election, featuring candidates like Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, is at risk. The use of these cameras at political rallies and other events increases the potential for foreign interference, compromising the integrity of our democratic process. 🔍 Recent Developments: Intelligence has revealed an Iranian assassination plot against former President Trump, with close cooperation between China and Iran. This geopolitical alliance heightens the risks posed by these surveillance capabilities. What We Are Asking: 1. Prohibit Use at Political Events: An immediate ban on Axon Body 4 cameras at all political events related to the 2024 election. 2. Alternative Surveillance Solutions: Mandate the use of secure surveillance equipment free from foreign adversary components. 3. Enhanced Security Protocols: Implement additional security measures at political events to prevent unauthorized surveillance. 4. Transparency Requirements: Require Axon and Microsoft to disclose foreign components in their products and report any security breaches. Our goal is to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process and protect the safety of political figures and the public. We urge you to stay informed and support efforts to ensure a fair and secure election. For more details, or if you wish to join this legal effort, please contact us at axonlitigation@legalforcelaw.com. Together, we can make a difference.
