About us

The Great Plains Center of Excellence (GPCoE) serves as one of the five key regional hubs for the Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) program of the Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains (MESC) of US Department of Energy, appropriated by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, more commonly known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). The Great Plains Center of Excellence serves 13 states with the mission to Build a collaborative center where all can participate, contribute, and prosper The regions of the Great Plains Center of Excellence are strategically positioned to make an impact on the community in the following ways: * Support the expansion of existing assessment practices and development of new tools. * Coordinate efforts with national and regional stakeholders. * Support the development of materials and resources for the National Clearinghouse. * Coordinate regional outreach activities. * Mentor all the IAC directors, staff, and students regionally. * Develop and train on new methods of delivering IAC assessments. * Support student-focused activities. * Forge new relationships and articulation agreements. * Support regional and national inclusive clean-energy workforce development activities.
