We are so grateful for our community members in #Mayerthorpe for helping make our 2nd annual Fallen 4 Memorial Hockey Game such a success, with the first responders taking home the win! Staff from the Mayerthorpe detachment were also able to raise over $7500 in donations, with $5000 going to Mayerthorpe Minor Hockey and the other $2500 going to the Fallen 4 Memorial Society. #YourAlbertaRCMP

Over the weekend, #YourAlbertaRCMP members in #Leduc, in partnership with City of Leduc and Leduc County Enforcement Services, Vintage Towing and Oil Country Towing, held a successful 6th annual Cram-a-Cruiser event for the Leduc & District Food Bank. Thanks to the heart-warming generosity from community members, the team collected 4,886lbs of food and over $3500.00 in donations for families in need this holiday season.

For five years in a row, #YourAlbertaRCMP member Cst. Amanda Grouette, other members from the Fort Macleod detachment, Fort Macleod Fire Department and EMS have teamed up to host Sirens for the Season! The group headed through the town to show off their lights, greet community members, and collect food bank donations, and donations for Toys for Tots. All the items raised will go to families in the Fort Macleod area. Thanks to everyone for their generosity, the event was a huge success! #ServingJoy

Last week, Lloydminster First Responders hosted an incredible event in support of The Olive Tree and The Salvation Army. Thanks to the amazing generosity of our community, we collected over $2500 in cash donations, 4800 lbs of food, and a ton of toys! Thank you to all the residents of #Lloydminster and surrounding areas for your generous donations. Congratulations to our very own Elisabeth Melvin, who received the RCMP Chaplain of the Year Award for Alberta last month. Selected from the nearly 90 chaplains serving across the province, Elisabeth was nominated by her peers at the #Morinville RCMP Detachment for her dedication and compassionate support. Chaplains provide emotional, spiritual, and practical support for RCMP employees. Their works is often rarely seen, but deeply felt. “We do everything from recommendations to meeting for coffee to showing up and hanging out in the bullpen, hospital visitations, and emotional support. Just making sure they’ve got a confidential ear to lean on, to be able to share,” explains Elisabeth. #YourAlbertaRCMP

Last week, #YourAlbertaRCMP members in #PeaceRiver teamed up with local partners for a 3-day Youth Empowerment Event led by Cst. Sunday, bringing together over 400 youth in the community. Through inspiring speakers and presentations, participants learned how to conquer fear, embody traits of successful people, and achieve success in athletics and beyond. Strong mentors like these help shape confident, resilient leaders in our community. Let’s keep investing in our youth—they’re the future! #ServingJoy

Staff Sergeant Ryan Singleton proudly represented #YourAlbertaRCMP as part of the Honour Guard at the November Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run Conference in Texas. This year, Special Olympics raised an incredible $66 million, contributing to an awe-inspiring $1.4 billion raised since 1981.
