We had a wonderful year of stewardship at our Conservation Management Area, capped off with a thank-you brunch to honor our dedicated GSWA volunteers. These volunteers make it possible for us to continue our work throughout the year and to host larger corporate groups. GSWA staff members Hazel England, Sandra LaVigne, and Ginger Van Ryzin gathered with longtime volunteers Steve Gruber, Jack Caffrey, Russ Furnari, Dennis Yi, and Theo Caffrey. While another valued regular, Sandy Desmedt, was unable to attend, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you for the countless hours you contributed this year. Interested in joining our stewardship efforts? We'd love to have you on board! Reach out to GvanRyzin@greatswamp.org and become part of our 2025 team!

New Jersey is still under a drought warning despite recent precipitation. Water Conservation Guidance from the NJDEP & GSWA: 🌟 Let your lawn rest—Let it go dormant for the season! 🌟 Sweep sidewalks with a broom, not a hose. 🌟 Fix leaky faucets and pipes. 🌟 Upgrade showerhead and faucets to low-flow versions and install faucet aerators. 🌟 Winterize and shut off outdoor irrigation systems. 🌟 Wash cars at a commercial car wash that recycles water. 💧 Conserve water! Every drop helps! 💧 #SaveWater #DroughtAwareness #NewJersey
