✨ We had an incredible 2024 at GNEC! As we reflect, the year was filled with growth, learning, and meaningful impact. We remained committed to our mission of connecting underserved entrepreneurs in Newark and the Greater New Jersey region with the resources they need to thrive and sustain their businesses. Here’s a look at some of our highlights this year: 🎙️ We shared insights that inspire through our podcasts and launched new podcast shorts. 💻 Supported small business growth and learning with impactful webinars and events. 🎤 Championed bold ideas through our Pitch Competitions, giving entrepreneurs a platform to refine their pitch. 🌞 Nurtured entrepreneurial spirit in the next generation through our Summer Entrepreneurship Institute. Last year, we also welcomed new board members who bring fresh perspectives to support our mission, and introduced new tracks for our BackStop programs, providing comprehensive support to entrepreneurs on their business journey. Overall, the average loan size saw a significant increase of 35.4%, surpassing the previous amount in 2023. We are incredibly grateful for the generous grants from our outstanding sponsors, whose support has been instrumental in driving our progress and success. Every step we’ve taken has been thanks to our amazing community of entrepreneurs, partners, and supporters. It’s not just about milestones, it’s about the people and the purpose driving them.
