We kicked off our party on Friday with a highly competitive game of Family Feud. The questions were challenging, and the answers were impressive—although there was one answer that raised a few eyebrows, and we’re still debating its validity! In the end, Team 4 emerged victorious. During our lively celebration on Friday, the atmosphere was filled with excitement as we gathered for a spirited game of Bingo. Employees eagerly filled their cards, hoping to achieve the thrilling moment of getting five in a row. Laughter and cheers echoed throughout the room as participants celebrated their near wins and friendly rivalries. It was a delightful game, and we genuinely believe that everyone left with smiles. On Friday, GSSSI had a fantastic celebration to ring in the end of the year! Magy has been a dedicated member of the Greater Springfield Senior Services (GSSSI) team since 2005 and has an extensive background and passion for the Agency. Over the years, she has taken on various roles, each contributing to her deep understanding of the organization, from Bilingual Case Manager to Bilingual Geriatric Support Coordinator, and eventually as the Commonwealth Care Alliance Senior Care Options (SCO) Program Supervisor and SCO Program Director. Now, as the Managed Care and MassHealth Programs Director since 2019, she embraces the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in her community. In her current role, Magy oversees crucial programs such as the Senior Care Options Program, the Personal Care Management Program (including Consumer Directed Care), and the Adult Foster Care Program. She finds fulfillment in using her creativity to develop new ideas and solutions for the challenges her consumers and employees face. Her drive to help others shines through in every aspect of her work. Magy’s journey through GSSSI has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the agency, which she uses to navigate relationships with insurance providers and MassHealth officials. She collaborates closely with GSSSI program directors, ensuring that all commitments are met while enhancing the support systems that benefit the consumers. By contributing to the development of policies for the agency as well as the MassHealth and Managed Care Programs, she strives to create a more supportive environment for everyone involved. Her commitment to GSSSI is profound, and while she plays a critical role in the organization, she is always the first to emphasize the success of her staff and colleagues. Magy believes that teamwork is essential and enjoys the challenge of finding innovative solutions that help her teams work more efficiently, ultimately allowing them to better serve the consumers who rely on their support. Alongside her staff, Magy actively seeks ways to ensure that every consumer has access to the resources they need, reflecting her unwavering dedication to their well-being. Today, the residents of Inward Commons in East Longmeadow came out to celebrate the holidays with a wonderful luncheon from Copperline Eatery & Catering. Our Supportive Housing Team was there to help set up and serve all of their residents!!
