UNITED we fight. UNITED we win. To live better, we must LIVE UNITED.

About us

Great Rivers United Way is working to advance the common good within our seven-county region by narrowing its focus to three Strategic Objectives: • Positively impact our youngest community members • Stabilize household economic situations so people experience thriving lives • Support a healthy and socially-connected community Everyone deserves opportunities to have a good life: a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, and good health. Advancing the common good is less about helping one person at a time and more about changing systems to help all of us. We are all connected and interdependent. We all win when a child succeeds in school, when families are financially stable, when people are healthy. Great Rivers United Way’s goal is to create long-lasting changes by addressing the underlying causes of these problems. Living United means being a part of the change. It takes everyone in the community working together to create a brighter future. Give. Advocate. Volunteer. LIVE UNITED. • Current Board Chair Isaac Zickert knows we can do more, together. Here's his United Way WHY: "Many of the societal problems the Coulee Region faces are multi-faceted. Addressing these issues requires a collaborative approach. Great Rivers United Way is unique in its ability to work across a wide array of agencies, facilitating both interdepartmental collaboration and mission-driven, targeted funding that ensures a compounding return on donations versus other methods of giving."

  • Every local United Way is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization ran with guidance from dedicated Board Members, like Nick West. Nick says: "Serving on the Board at Great Rivers United Way is an outstanding opportunity to support an organization that has so much impact on the communities in which we live and work. It has been extremely rewarding for my family and me to engage with United Way in each place we’ve called home over the past 20 years. GRUW and its partner agencies are doing important work, and opening doors for so many of our neighbors in the Coulee Region!"
