Our number one strategy for reducing supplier survey fatigue: Create a decentralized data repository or "data lake." When different departments collect similar information from suppliers, it not only contributes to survey fatigue but can also lead to data silos across an organization. This means that important insights may be missed, and opportunities for collaboration between departments might be overlooked. Solution: Work across departments to develop a centralized data repository, or "data lake," where all relevant teams can access much-needed supplier information. This approach ensures that each department has access to the data they need without requiring separate surveys, reducing the frequency and redundancy of requests. It also promotes better coordination within your organization, enabling departments to identify gaps, trends, and opportunities for improvement more effectively. Green Project Technologies' CEO and Founder Sam Stark took the stage at RE-Source 2024 in Amsterdam this year to discuss supply chain decarbonization for small-to-medium sized businesses. Corporate sustainability is not one-size-fits-all, and SMEs have their own unique challenges when it comes to navigating the market and accounting for their footprint. SMEs need resources, tools, and the right education to source renewable energy and achieve their net zero goals. We're proud to provide a product specifically for SMEs at Green Project. Thank you to RE-Source for having us an Jan-Willem Beukers, Renske Ytsma, Orkhan Ahmadli, and Eric Gibbs for an excellent conversation. See you next year!

When overwhelmed, suppliers may become unresponsive or provide incomplete data, hindering the accuracy and effectiveness of your carbon accounting efforts. How can businesses streamline their approach and engage suppliers more effectively? Here are 5 approaches: 1. Create a centralized repository or "data lake" 2. Consolidate requests to reduce frequency 3. Try to accept data in supplier-preferred formats 4. Prioritize clear communicate and provide training support 5. Really enjoyed our panel at RE-Source 2024 this year as it centered in on a very topical conversation: Supply Chain Decarbonization for Small-To-Medium Sized Businesses. If you're spinning your wheels trying to tackle Scope 3 engagement and reduction, one of the most effective ways to get started is by rolling out a renewables program for your suppliers. As all corporates well know, one size does not fit all for internal sustainability management, and the same lesson applies for your suppliers. With SMEs in particular, needing an accessible, affordable and educating mechanism to source renewable energy is essential. Green Project's platform, powered by ACT, has created a solution explicitly designed for SMEs, and can seamlessly scale to thousands of suppliers Reach out to sales@greenprojecttech.com to learn more!
