🌍 Does our playground suck? 🎥 This short film hit me hard. In just one minute, it dismantles the fantasy of escaping our planet to survive elsewhere. A powerful reminder that our Earth, so welcoming and generous, deserves all our respect and protection. What if we stopped dreaming of a Plan B on Mars and focused on the only playground that truly matters: our Earth? Yet while some dream of leaving the planet, what are we doing to preserve our playground here and now? 🟢 What do you think? Plan B or Plan E-arth? 🎥 Activista Racing to Zero Sport PositiveGreen Sports Alliance Réseau Éco-Sportif #mars #sucks #earth Global Sustainable Sport Green Sports Day Canada

🚨 Innovating Stadium Design for a Sustainable Future 🌍🏟️ Populous is redefining how sports and entertainment venues are built through venue productization, drawing inspiration from manufacturing and industrialized construction. By leveraging modular systems and reusable components, they're creating spaces that are faster to build, more cost-effective, and eco-friendly. 🔑 Highlights: ✅Modular Innovation: Temporary venues like Nassau County’s Cricket Stadium were designed to be disassembled and repurposed, reducing waste and creating scalable solutions. ✅Efficiency in Design: The Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong saved 40% of steel and reduced material costs by 25% by optimizing aluminum facades with manufacturing partners. ✅Tech-Driven Solutions: Tools like Autodesk Revit and AI-powered insights enhance precision and sustainability in designs, maximizing value for clients and communities. This approach proves that by collaborating with manufacturers and integrating smart technology, architects can deliver projects that adapt to changing needs while leaving a lighter environmental footprint. 🌟 Learn more about Populous' innovations in our Building for the Next Generation Playbook: https://lnkd.in/e5WFfsWb #SportsBiz #SustainableSport #ClimateAction #GreenSports https://lnkd.in/gkiJKFxy

From plogging (picking up trash while jogging) to commuting to the race by ferry, Team for Climate racers set the standard for responsible running and helped to move NYRR closer to their Net Zero by 2040 goal. cc: Tata Consultancy Services

NYRR Team for Climate is a new entry method for NYRR’s three marquee races—the TCS New York City Marathon, the United Airlines NYC Half, and the RBC Brooklyn Half—in which runners will raise funds to help offset NYRR’s carbon emissions, including runner travel to the three races.
