A new smishing (SMS phishing) scam is hitting North Texas, with scammers impersonating toll agencies and sending fake texts about unpaid tolls. The goal? To steal your personal and financial info through fraudulent payment links. As your local IT security experts, GreenBean IT wants to make sure you stay safe: ✅ Don’t click the link! Instead, verify directly with the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) at 972-818-6882 or visit ntta.org. ✅ Report the scam. Forward suspicious texts to 7726 (SPAM) and file a complaint at ic3.gov. ✅ Stay alert. Scammers are getting more sophisticated, and smishing is on the rise.
