A recent study published by The Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine has some interesting findings about the safety of artificial turf. Young football athletes were asked to rate their symptom severity after recent concussions. Their responses indicated that helmet-to-ground concussions on natural grass produced more severe symptoms and more symptoms overall.
