About us
Groundwork Kitchen, in the heart of Pigtown and a stone’s throw from the B&O Railroad museum, is the newest addition to the hustle and bustle of Washington Blvd. Our chef-inspired menu showcases classic flavors and favorites with delicious twists. Stop by for carry out or delivery now and keep an eye out for catering and in-person dining options coming soon. Guests feel at home from the moment they walk into Groundwork Kitchen because of the welcoming spirit of our staff and the delicious food served. Ingredients are locally sourced and prepared with a passion for excellence and a focus on care for guests and staff. And, every time you visit, you are enjoying a Meal with Meaning. Built as a social enterprise of Paul’s Place with a culinary arts program on the lower level of the building, every meal prepared supports the training and employment of a community member. Our program is a free 12-week program designed to train students in front and back of the house skills in preparation for careers in food service. With support from the program team, graduates will have a partner as they start food service careers. So, when you see the Groundwork Kitchen tagline - Meals with Meaning - know that every dollar made goes back to our programs and the community. We believe in taking care of people through food and we believe this social enterprise can significantly change lives. We just also happen to make great food!
