“For companies, stability over relentless growth offers a similar advantage. Businesses grounded in long-term principles — a clear mission, enduring values, and customer relationships — are often more resilient than those chasing rapid expansion or short-lived trends. And just as stability forms a crucial foundation, so too does craftsmanship — the attention to detail and commitment to quality that imbue an organization with lasting strength.” https://lnkd.in/err5X2Cj #structuredvisualthinking Big Think #transformation #strategy #decisionquality #business #csuite #decisionmaking #frameworks #truth #listen #curiosity #creativity #leadership #writing #resilience

Communicating has become exponentially challenging. There’s far more noise. People are overwhelmed by choice. The things that need explaining are more complex than ever. Mindsets are entrenched. If you are explaining something new, how do you explain it — after all, there’s only so much of a comparison you want to make. Do you know what the audience you are talking to cares about? Do you know what channels they are even listening to? Is there anybody out there? https://lnkd.in/ggzQW5vG #structuredvisualthinking #transformation #strategy #decisionquality #business #csuite #decisionmaking #frameworks #truth #listen #curiosity #creativity #leadership #writing

Using AI extensively on various tasks allows leaders and their teams to find surprising uses for the technology. However, Mollick warns that human oversight remains necessary to catch the errors and mistakes these models are prone to make. Because the technology is rapidly evolving, leaders should use today’s AI to build the foundational experience that will better position their teams in the future. https://lnkd.in/eKuhMmHz #structuredvisualthinking #transformation #strategy #decisionquality #business #csuite #decisionmaking #frameworks #truth #listen #curiosity #creativity #leadership Sanyin Siang #writing

'When most people prompt generative AI, they do so within the paradigm of how they think about what could or should come next. For example, when searching Google, users may ask a question, search for the best Thai restaurant “near me,” or insert specific criteria based on filtered output, such as “best downhill mountain bike for intermediate riders.” That approach is often carried into prompting. The results build on a linear path of thinking, research, and decision-making based upon the world as we know it. However, where AI starts to “come alive” is when you create something unique — something that wouldn’t have been achieved without a human and machine collaboration. This requires challenging your own conventions around how you think GenAI should work, and also the outcomes you think are expected or possible. This article offers 12 exercises to help you expand the way you think about prompting GenAI. Leaders who foster these mindshifts within their teams will find themselves cultivating a culture where “the impossible” becomes a daily challenge — and achievement.' https://lnkd.in/e42aq4Ut #structuredvisualthinking #transformation #strategy #decisionquality #business #csuite #decisionmaking #frameworks #truth #listen #curiosity #creativity #leadership #writing Harvard Business Review Brian Solis

Change is inevitable. Change causes us to change—or get left behind. The most successful approach to change is to make the highest quality decisions based on the broadest context. The sum of our choices is ‘the strategy.’ Progression is a choice. The ingredients of progress laid out over time is ‘the plan.’ Given the exponential pace of change, we must redefine what a plan means. Plans are fluid, not fixed things impervious to change. Plans need to be made with the mindset of adaptation and reinvention. https://lnkd.in/gm_ACUs4 #structuredvisualthinking #transformation #strategy #decisionquality #business #csuite #decisionmaking #frameworks #truth #listen #curiosity #creativity #leadership #writing

Dreaming your way to creativity 'Thomas Edison, who helped invent the light bulb, often used daytime naps to help spur his creativity even though he claimed not to sleep more than four hours a night. When Edison went for his daytime naps, he fell asleep with a ball in his hand. As he fell asleep, his hand relaxed, and the ball fell to the ground. The noise of the ball hitting the floor startled Edison awake. He, and other famous thinkers including Salvador Dali, claimed that it was that transitional state, the moment between wake and sleep, that fuelled their creativity.' https://lnkd.in/eC2z7rcn #structuredvisualthinking #transformation #strategy #decisionquality #business #csuite #decisionmaking #frameworks #truth #listen #curiosity #creativity #leadership #writing #story The Conversation UK
