About us

Growing Up New Mexico works to engage the whole community, bringing together people and resources to create increased opportunities for children and families to achieve their dreams and aspirations. We want all children in Santa Fe County to succeed in school and life! United Way of Santa Fe County is a direct service provider for families with children under five years old. Our FREE programs include: • First Born Home Visiting: guidance and support with parenting, child development and family health from prenatal to 3 years old. • Great Start Home Visiting: early postpartum home visiting for all families with a newborn; includes breastfeeding support, identifying postpartum depression and community resources. • Dolly Parton Imagination Library: free books for children mailed directly to their home address once a month. • Parenting classes/ family workshops: monthly classes, workshops and events for families to learn, enjoy and develop positive habits. • Pre K: preschool for 4 year olds to acclimate to a school environment focusing on social and emotional skills that support learning. • Family, Friends and Neighbors: support, education and information for informal childcare providers.
